Lizzie Karshner
Lizzie hosted her first wine tasting night in 2019 where she highlighted the enchanting grape, Pinot Noir. She wanted to show her guest that this one grape can take on so many different personalities and traits depending on where it was grown and how it was managed. It was this grape that showed Lizzie how incredibly unique and diverse the wine world is.
So many wine lovers have that one bottle of wine that changed everything for them, the bottle of wine that got them hooked into the world of wine, for Lizzie, it was a bottle of tequila!
Lizzie's love and passion for wine did not start in a vineyard but rather in an agave field. While on a work trip to Jalisco, Mexico, it was there, where she toured dozens of distilleries, each one had their own unique story to tell. It was in those stories from the men and women who worked tirelessly on a bottle of tequila, that she learned there was so much more than just alcohol that goes inside each bottle, there was heart, loss, family, tragedy, and love. She was immediately hooked and wanted to share these stories with the rest of the world. From there she worked for a wine and spirits distributor in the Bay Area, working with the passionate people in the heart of California's wine country is where her enthusiasm for wine grew. For anyone living in Napa Valleys' backyard, it's hard for anyone to not come away inspired.
